I can reproduce this issue with Git-2.42.0.2-64-bit.exe @viktor-prutyanov I'll report an internal bug and let you know it.

Which virtiofsd version did you use, virtiofsd-c version or rust version? virtiofsd c version isn't maintained upstream, therefore, it's better to test virtiofsd rust version. Check virtiofs version: # rpm...

The setup failed with the latest internal virtio-win installer. But it works to install the driver from device manager and the shared dir can be mounted in win8.1 guest.

Have talked with wji that we should figure out which case indeed created the dump file in the test loop, which lead to creat dump file fail at the begging...
