it's more caused by abyssalcraft integration afaik, mek is just the easiest way to get crystals (also disabling mek is going to make processing most ores for 5x impossible)

The recipe exists if you have a mod that adds uranium, it's 8 uranium around a thermobaric. Probably better if there was a way to get it without IC2/techreborn though
