I got an odd error when trying to look at my keybindings to figure out why AudioSwitcher wasn't working.

I have 2 keybindings: ctrl+alt+f11 and ctrl+alt+f12. I am running Windows 10 64-bit with the Threshold 2 update, and I can provide all my stats if you need them.

I normally submit really detailed bug reports, but I can't reproduce the error yet, although I'm trying. When I can, I'll update the ticket.

By any chance do you have a HDMI/USB device? And does it have a hotkey set?

At a glance, this could happen when a USB device is disconnected and reconnected, or likewise with an HDMI device.

Effectively the app has started with a hotkey set to a device id, and somewhere that device and hence id has been removed from the system, so when the hotkey is viewed or fired it errors.

I had a USB stick plugged in when this happened, but it had been plugged in for a few days before this issue and wasn't unplugged until after I had the problem.

Let me do some testing and see if I can make it happen again. This could also explain the problem my husband is having with his installation.

For what it's worth, neither my husband nor I had any issues before the Windows 10 Threshold 2 update and after that we've had weird, inconsistent, and just odd issues similar to #1253 and the ones referenced in that ticket.

Every day I find another reason to hate Threshold 2...
