  • [X] I've read the FAQ.

  • [X] If this issue occurs in a specific game, I've done analysis to locate the faulty subsystem of the emulator and a potential reason in it.

Describe what's going wrong

Game tested and working on setup with 24 inch monitor, but the game fails to boot when the same setup is connected to a 55 inch TV. HDMI connections are used in both cases. The monitor has integrated speakers, while the TV uses ARC to a soundbar.

@ZolaKluke on discord found that the reason the emulator is failing is because of the audio device. Switching to a different audio device before boot lets the game boot, and after it appears that the audio device can be switched back.

Monitor: BenQ E2420HD @ 59 Hz TV: Philips 55PUS8303/12 @ 29 Hz Soundbar: Samsung HW-Q76R/XE Graphics Card: AMD Radeon R7 370 Series Audio Device (Failing): 6 - Philips FTV (AMD High Definition Audio Device)

Describe what should happen

Game should boot show start-screen on the TV, as it does on the monitor.

To clarify, is the provided log the game failing to boot, or switching the audio devices?

I believe this is the log with it crashing

That is correct. One more thing to add. It appers that just having a second audio device connected lets the game boot. It does not need to be selected.

In this case i used a USB dongle for a Sennheiser MB 660 MS Headset (in case the specifics are important).
