465307DA - Armored Core: For Answer
Tested on https://github.com/xenia-project/xenia/commit/a148b965f19a99e4ea6c346075bd19de19f085fc
Issues:
Managed to get to title screen by pressing start and almost managed to start a new game. The game is only playable until it freezes about 27 seconds in, so in other words, it runs just fine and only freezes at a specific point in time. Note: Sorry, this is my first time helping an emulator, and I don't know how to find the log in this emulator.

Duplicate of https://github.com/xenia-project/game-compatibility/issues/277?
Now the game work almost fine, no freeze it's very smooth but black screen when you play. You see your HUD that all, maybe play only in radar mode xD
Almost but nope x)
@Skurcz @BlacKlWolf The game works using D3D12 build of Xenia.
Using Xenia D3D12 build, Game seems to almost work perfectly fine.
I have a few artifacts in some cutscenes and the textures of my own AC is often bugged with red stripes. Other than that i have been able to play the tutorial and a few missions without any issue. Controls work as they should, game runs at smooth 60fps for the most time. Only a few stutter here and there and some more heavy FPS drop in scenes that already dropped like hell on consoles.
System: Win10 I5 2500k 4.2Ghz 8GB DDR3-1600 GTX 980
Cant wait for Verdict Day to work.
xenia-project/xenia@1523a1f6629b79f3bb4d490f282d0562251c8b39
Slight artifacting, texture issue on the AC itself. Same issue as mentioned by previous user.
i7 8700k GTX 1080FE 16GB DDR4 Win10 Pro
Weird thing is that texture glitch isn't persistent, my AC looks completely normal in tutorial and hangar, but not when I started my first mission.

@darkdragon56 Any hope for people to read the posting guidelines? (no)
tested on latest dx12 build (sep 5)
There are a number of issues, most of which are minor, the mission "Rescue GA transport unit" crashes xenia, preventing story progress in to chapter 3. However, finishing all order matches unlocks "Defeat AF Great Wall". Finish this mission to progress.
1, AC textures are not displayed correctly in missions, but are fine in the garage.
- AC leg parts to not render and are missing a bounding box so you slide around with no legs. They still functionally exist, just misplaced and invisible. (walking sounds, ect.) this happens for both player and npc units, causing them to sit closer to the ground making them harder to hit.
3, Weapons on your arms don't seem to render either.
4, the missions "Rescue GA transport unit"crashes xenia when loading into the mission, and "defend cradle 03" crashes when trying to load briefing video.
Save and log are for the transport mission. save log
A few things i cant really test, but are worth mention...
Movement in game is pressure sensitive. the left trigger is for boosters, while the left sticks is moved in a direction the thrust is vectored at that angle. There appears to be an issue with the stick but that may be my controller acting weird because windows 10 or xenia.
Quick boost fires on button down and button up, to taping it for evasive moves or slightly extending it for travel speed. It is very difficult to tell if this works properly with the issues above.
Tested on commit 99024aec
Ran on 3700X and 3070, under Win10 x64 DX12.
Issues
-
existing
- Heavy artifact on AC in field, regardless of tutorial or mission.
- Minor artifact(pixelation) on some of explosion effects.
Both are shown in below screenshot.
-
fixed
- Legs appears and functions normally.
- No notable flaws or crashes preventing gameplay. Played from clean start to ending including mission that issue above has mentioned.
Log
This log is not from moment shown in below screenshot. That was played with --log_level=0
so played again until I load up in field.
Screenshot
Do note, there is time-to-time freezing and extensive lags especially but not limited with explosives. If you want a butter smooth experience check out older builds of xenia - about ones dates back year ago. Older version of xenia might be missing some effects and crashes randomly.

Issues:
From running some of the tutorial and the start of the first GA mission, the game has decent framerate but has problems with some intermittent stuttering and heavy artifacts (red/multicolored striping) on the player mech and pixelation on many weapon effects and explosions as mentioned by previous posters. The environment seems to be unaffected and looks good. Cursorily the gameplay also seems perfectly functional.

How do I enable read/write buffer. I saw a comment that'd work somehow with the current missing textures?
Tested on https://github.com/xenia-project/xenia/commit/c5e6352c349ca65b7119bab08d19797e95eb1509
Issues:
After playing a couple of missions, the only occurring problems are the player's AC texture being red and black stripes color during missions and a blue/ rainbow color during AC test. Changing the color in the garage doesn't affect it mission gameplay. There is stuttering when activating Overred boost and destroying buildings, but that could be from the console, and not from faulty emulation/ weak computer hardware. Other than that the game runs smooth.
My specs:
(these are all laptop specs, so PC could have different results)
GTX 1050 3GB i5-9300H 16GB DDR4 2666Mhz Win 10, 64 bit
(This seems to be a reoccurring issue, so I don't think the log would change anything, and I don't know how to acces the log, i'm a beginner to this stuff)
