Bug report

Here is a clear and concise description of what the problem is:

I expect Kore to read my local files without troubles.

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Open Kore
  2. Go to Local Files tab
  3. Authorize to use the local storage

I have the same problem with Android 10 on 2.5.1 but it works on 2.5.0. Although manually creating the folders on 2.5.1 will download the selected files.

edit: Ok, with 2.5.0 it just creates the folder but no music files are downloaded. But the permission issue is gone. edit: with 2.4.7 downloading to the device works without an issue.

It appears to only affect versions of Android that use scoped storage (Android 10 and up). For the problem to be fixed, the Kore team would need to implement scoped storage methods into the app.

Haven't Had this problem until recently. Now using Lineageos 17.1 Kore refuses to access files on local filesystem even though permissions were granted. Counting the months I end up with five. Anybody working on this issue?

I'm going to close this because it should be fixed in the latest version, available on the mirrors, and soon on the Play store.
