Hey! first i see that you actively were pushing an update while i was trying to install,

i made sure i tried releases 4.4.1, 4.4.2, and 4.4.3

I have tried blender 4.5.3, 4.4.3, 4.3.3

It says successfully installed the addon but it is not registering in the addons or extensions setting not in the N Panel

thank you in advanced

Hey @FaradaysInfinity that weird, you can try the following steps?

  • From blender uninstall the addon.
  • Restart Blender
  • In Blender, Windows -> Toggle System Console (This will open a new console, try again if console don't popup)
  • Install the addon from Blender
  • And send me what say the console

From where you get "Blender-For-UnrealEngine-Addons-4.4.3(1).zip" ? If you downloaded from the source code this is wrong, you need download the build from the release posts.

Hi,

I wanted to chime in with the same issue. It might just be something dumb I'm doing that I'm overseeing. I'm using blender version 4 which should be backwards compatible I thought? In the console I get the following errors: fake_module: addon missing 'bl_info' gives bad performance!: 'C:\Users\Admin\AppData\Roaming\Blender Foundation\Blender\4.0\scripts\addons\bbpl\init.py'

For all files within the .zip it states that the addon is missing a bl_info file.

Installing it dumps all the files within the .zip in the blender addons folder within roaming. I hope this also provides some information for you as to how we could solve this :)

@loenabelle It the same error, you need install from the release zip files. Not the Github source file

Thankyou for replying! I did download it from the release zip files and used the big green circle and arrow in the picture you provided. I also used that 2 weeks ago, but it had this result. Just to be sure I will provide some screenshots of where I downloaded the plugin from.

I then gave a few different versions a try, making sure to completely get rid of all files, before trying a new one:

Am I still accidentally downloading the github source file? I didn't download the source code at the bottom of the page. I'm pretty new to github so it would not be besides me to make a mistake here, just wondering if the ones in the picture are the correct zip files.
