Multiple streams from one device?

Open rahmnathan opened this issue 8 years ago • 3 comments

I'm building a media server that uses castnow for playback and was wondering if there is a way to have 2 streams run from the same device. When I try to cast to the second device i get a address already in use error. Is there anyway around this? I know its possible, but i'm not sure if it's supported by castnow.

It appears the error is because the port is already being used. I can't seem to find a way to specify a port.

Damn, so that's why I can't play to more than one Chromecast Audio at a time? Is there likely to be a fix for this?

Pull request #165 which has been merged to master allows for the specification of port numbers. You can run each instance of castnow on a different port, which would prevent your address already in use errors.

That's fantastic! Thank you!
