Bug: Dell monitor not resuming from sleep

Open nicholasvafiades opened this issue 1 year ago • 7 comments

I saw a similar comment in the changelog, but my Dell U2520D doesn't resume from sleep sometimes, and I'm wondering if it's from this app. I'm going to fully close TwinkleTray for a few days and test to confirm.

I confirmed it is definitely this application. If the computer goes to black screen (but not full sleep) and then I resume it by moving the mouse, often times the U2520D will remain black and require a full unplug to get it back. The U2518Ds I have don't have this issue.

I'm having this issue on a Dell U2421E as well

Probably same as #567

I'm still testing, but so far on 1.16.0-beta6 I'm not having any issues!! Will report back if anything changes, but this is huge if truly fixed. Encourage others to try the latest beta if having issues.

That's great to hear! I'll post an update in https://github.com/xanderfrangos/twinkle-tray/issues/567

Unfortunately this didn't solve it :/ I'll try the Dell monitor setting although it's the wrong model and see if there's any change. I'm testing the other suggestion you had in the new thread.

I had the exact same issue with the same monitor. I ended up disabling DDC/CI in the monitors On screen display settings, and now it seems to wake up again, else i had to unplug the power cord.

It's under Settings button -> Others -> DDC/CI
