Installing App stalling / wont update discovery topic

I load the driver as a virtual device, go to add the app and it will just spin and never complete. After a while a child instance is created but the app is still not there. I have had times where it looks like my system froze up and click like 4 or 5 times and it finishes the install, but there are then the same number of copies of the app listed. I try and delete them and the child device and re-run it. But I end up with it publishing on homie instead of homeassistant like I have listed in the app. I have tried installing several times and have this issue, i've deleted reboot / rerun and the same result. This is the last piece of the puzzle I think on the auto discovery here.

I load the driver as a virtual device,

Do not create the device manually. The app will create it for you at startup. Manually delete all the child devices and reboot and a linked child app will appear. More info in the community post.
