Okay that's very helpful, I'm not sure why this is still happening but I'll have to either play around with it more or just drop this.
I think I'm quite convinced this is too broken for some reason, likely with cross-compiling and I'm going to just remove it.
I have not changed anything yet. It's still in my PR which we haven't merged yet as we're still working on async database.
I've decided to push the fix early in https://github.com/girlbossceo/conduwuit/pull/598 0.4.7-rc and `main` branch currently should have this fixed.

If you would like to, could you please test and see if the issue still persists on `main` branch?
It's possible both of these are Element bugs. I'm not sure if there's another client with threading support, but if there is testing it there would be helpful.
I'll consider this resolved, if there are any further threads issues that are confirmed to not be client-related, please open new issues for those.

It's been a while and we've done a lot of membership refactoring which may have fixed this, is this still issue on `main` branch? I haven't been able to reproduce...
