Standardise the origin.yml format so that it can be added to the torrent itself
It would useful to have some of this metadata (media, label, cat no., etc.) in machine-readable form baked into the actual download, to be created by the uploader. Obviously at torrent creation time, the info hash, permalink, etc. can't be known.
IMO this could be achieved by splitting the scope of the metadata into:
- Metadata about the music release and rip - e.g. label, media, catalogue number, encoding, ripping software maybe, etc.
- Metadata about the torrent - e.g. info hash, permalink, comments, etc.
Then, the parts includable in the torrent consist of the first scope, and this can be augmented post-download with the second scope.
