Wasted in Shelter
Pixel 6, GrapheneOS. Duress installed in main profile, Wasted installed in Work profile via Shelter. All codes correctly entered, Duress passes it's test at the lockscreen. Wasted however cannot seem to communicate with Duress. It won't insert a tile either. I've double checked permissions, all are enabled in 'Device Admin', Duress is enabled under accessibility. Both broadcast and Tile are selected in wasted.
I'm at a loss on how to get this to work.
Work profile always had some limitations. I will take a look, if I can do something with this.
This would be a great feature for me, and for many other users I assume. I'm quite often being searched by the police, of course that involves them checking my phone too, and simply hiding apps is not a secure option for obvious reasons. My phone doesn't have any illegal data on it, but it has some sensitive and private information that I'd rather not show to anyone. I'd gladly keep this data at my PC, but unfortunately most of it comes from conversations with family and friends whom I'd like to keep in touch with. Wiping the entire phone doesn't seem like a good option — sure, in theory I can return home the moment I reset it and restore everything, but in practice I'm not really sure if the police will let me do that once they see a factory new phone in my hands. You said that deleting individual apps is not in the scope of this project, so the Shelter solution is the most realistic one for me. Besides it offers the benefit of sandboxing apps.
