What version of RCX are you using (About -> App version)?

Latest version

What problem are you trying to solve?

I'm using rcx with Poweramp for music playback and it works pretty good but the only issue I see is that the stream link has so many symbols that the player doesn't recognize the name, maybe don't matter but the issue is that the metadata for the tracks are not showing because Poweramp is unable to read the files correctly but it plays and it plays very well. Any ideas? Thanks for this amazing app!!

What should RCX be able to do differently to help with this problem?

clean the way the files are been cast to the file picker or third party apps.

Can you post a screenshot of the files in question in RCX and in Poweramp? While RCX cannot change ID3 tags, we may be able to change the file name.

Thanks for the screenshots, though I should probably tell you right away that this looks like it can only be fixed by Poweramp.

From the screenshots, it seems that Poweramp is using the internal URI (like you could link to this page with https://github.com/x0b/rcx/issues/164.html instead of the simple #164) for some reason. I'm not sure why Poweramp does not use the normal file name - which would be 01 The Ringer.flac or Savoior.flac.

I'm going to add this to the investigation backlog to look into this with a debugger, maybe there's something I'm missing.

Have you asked the Poweramp folks? Maybe they have already tested this.
