I also have this problems on some pull requests but not others, for example if I bump org.jetbrains.kotlinx:kotlinx-coroutines-test to 1.8.1, the build fails with "have you run firebase login?" downgrade to 1.8.0 and the build succeeds.

@alexbirkett, Understood, it should work in the newer version of Kotlin.

I'm on the latest version, its not working
