[Feature Request] Support for master_me plugin
I would love to see support for the master_me audio plugin. Optimizing microphone input is in my experience much harder than optimizing speaker output, and this plugin promises to take care of that in a battery-included fashion:
master_me is a multi platform, free and open source audio plug-in which optimizes sound in live streaming situations. Introducing no latency, it takes care of master levels and ‘polishes’ the sound with a chain of effects, closely modeled after the audio chain of Klaus Scheuermann’s mastering studio in Berlin, Germany.
The plugin is actively maintained and available in a range of formats, including LV2.
Looking at this image, it seems something you can replicate in Easy Effects with a custom pipeline.
I'm sure it's possible to recreate what this plugin does to some extent. But master_me's signal flow seems pretty sophisticated, and at least I wouldn't know how to recreate all of this with a pipeline of existing effects:
Also, I don't think the automatic stereo correct feature in master_me is currently replicable with any of the plugins in Easy Effects. Of course, I'm no sound engineer and maybe a custom pipeline is the better solution after all. But currently, there's a dire lack of community presets for the use case this plugin would fill.

I agree. Although it does use plugins we do not wrap right now like the multiband midside compressor there is a lot of overlap with what can be done with other plugins we already have. For example we already have 2 compressors, 2 gates, 1 equalizer, 1 gain correction based on perceived loudness and 1 stereo tools plugin that can do phase correction. It is not automatic. But it can do phase correction. And we do support multiple instances of the same plugin. What probably makes it possible to add that brickwall limiter to our pipeline if LSP limiter is able to behave like a brickwall limiter.
I won't say I will never add this plugin. But right now it does not fit our approach of doing as much as possible with as few plugins as possible. We do not have enough people writing code for EasyEffects to justify the duplication of so much functionality.
Of course, I understand. Thank you for the explanation and for your work on the project!
