Unable to overwrite Output Presets

Open XxAcielxX opened this issue 1 year ago • 3 comments

EasyEffects Version

7.0.0

What package are you using?

Other (specify below)

Distribution

Debian 12 (bookworm) amd64

Describe the bug

I have an Output Preset already saved, but now I made some changes, and want I want to overwrite the preset with the same name.

There is no button to save it again. Even if I type same name, press save button, the preset does not update with new settings. I have to first delete the old preset, and save as a new preset.

Expected Behavior

There should be a button to easily overwrite a preset without the hassle of first deleting old one, and then saving a new one.

Unfortunately, this problem was not completely fixed until easyeffects version 7.0.4, which is slightly newer than the version in Debian 12 Bookworm, 7.0.0-1. Even worse, bookworm-backports only gets to version 7.0.1, only trixie has anything newer; currently 7.1.7.

I realize you might not want to, but you can always use the easyeffects flatpak package if you want the latest version of easyeffects.

Unless Debian has some kind of third party repository with a newer version or that Ubuntu PPA somehow works on Debian using the Flatpak package is probably the only option.

I looked into Flatpak, even tried to install EasyEffects through it. Sadly it requires dependencies like major Gnome packages where I'm using XFCE4.
