File Xfer area doesn't work in Linux

I have two file directories, but I can't seem to change to the second one. '*' does nothing. //changedir hangs the session (had to kill it from shell). 'L' to list files disconnects you (crashing?). 'F' disconnects you. I was able to upload a text file and I see it from the shell in the directory it's supposed to be in. Trying to download it by name, however, disconnects you. Nothing in log files other than my upload, which doesn't really say it's an upload, just that the file was moved from the temp area to the dloads/something directory

That's quite strange. Can you run this locally then see if there are any messages in the log file?

bbs --v=4 -u1

This will log on user 1 locally and also turn up to high logging. logs/bbs.log may have some insights to what is going on
