suggestion: allow users to add own options to polls

it might be nice when creating a poll to have the option to allow users to add their own answers to the poll.

That's a nice suggestion. the voting code hasn't been touched at all, really, since 4.04 AFAIK and also looks the same as it was in 3.21. There's certainly some opportunity to improve this.

Adding answers (i.e. allowing for a write in answer) is certainly a good one. Allowing users > a certain SL/ACS to let others see and use that answer. Also allowing users to add new questions. entirely.

I also know that SBBS is doing some things where the poll and answers are shared over their message base. wwivnet has lots of support for custom packet types, could also consider doing it that way or possibly just with a subtype and custom message encoding. I think FSXnet has a sub FSX_DAT for stuff like that, but I'm not sure how any of those work.
