You are right, that **finalizeChunk** only creates Change instances. This works, but you are right, that the right type should be put in there. PRs are welcome.
Is there anything wrong with the way diff utils calculate this? diff utils and git using different algorithms to calculate it. We using Myers and git uses some histogram algorithm....
So can I close this one?
I merged your changes. How did you test it? I assume you did not use the maven build. I had to change multiple methods that were not in Java 8.

I looked into your issue. This inlineDiff method is used for inline diffs. Without it, I think you get this multi delta behaviour, since changed blocks are nearly not detected....
