Is it have way to take single screenshot?

Hi guys,

thank you for best macos application for screen recording. I found, that is no way, to take one frame screenshot, am I wrong?

Depends on what you mean. If you mean grab a screenshot from a recording, you can right click at any paused frame in the editor, and save a screenshot.

If you mean grab a screenshot of the screen, then no. Kap is focused on screen recording

@karaggeorge , I mean 2nd option, grab a screenshot of the screen. MacOs don't have good open source software, that can record videos and take screenshots together, and upload it somewhere, like ShareX on windows.

I think will be very cool, if Kap got this possibility in future.

hey @vsychov it's not open source but the built-in screencapture tool on macOS is quite good! the default keyboard shortcut is ⌘⇧3, more info here:

@theopak The built-in is really nice, however it does not support defining the size of the capture area by writing it.

For example taking screenshots in 800x600 is quite hard with mac's tool.

Also built-in not support uploading to s3 or somewhere else

There is a huge whole in this area no other apps do this as well - I agree it would be a killer feature to add.
