Can't save/convert screen recording anymore

macOS version: Catalina (10.15) Kap version: 3.6.0

For the past few days when I record my screen, when I try to save it/convert, it does nothing. Basically, whatever I recorded is lost, because the only option is to close the window, which will discard whatever I recorded. It wasn't like that before.
