macOS version:
Kap version:
Steps to reproduce
Downloaded Kap for M series, installed it and it crashes on the start.
Current behaviour
Crashes always.
Expected behaviour
Not crashing.
Workaround
None. Other actions from the context menu also don't do anything.
Can confirm, have been experiencing the same issue for awhile now. I just can't use the app. I miss this program :(
macOS Monterey Version 12.4 MacBook Air (M1, 2020)
Same here. I was a heavy user of Kap and loved it, but I no longer can use it anymore due to this error every time it is opened.
Possible workaround that worked for me, enable permissions for Kap in Security & Privacy -> Screen Recording.
I was about to get it working this way after initially getting this error.
I remember trying tweaking security permissions before, but didn't help.
FYI, I've recently tried redownloading and reinstalling Kap, and now it works for me (the same version - 3.5.4).
Apologies all, this error is affecting many and we're looking into it. This issue is being tracked in #1095 and I will close this as a duplicated.
still getting at Version 3.6.0 (3.6.0.1846)
