[Feature request] RS485 support
RS485 requires some special flag in the ioctl settings. Can we support it as the new version of minicom(RTS delay...) ?
Hi Tony, sorry for the delay, I'm not receiving notifications for opened issues and I check once in a while.
I don't know why we don't have this, but why not have a look at least. I'd like the configuration to remain minimal regarding the device so that it can continue to bind to any random device that pops up. And ideally all run-time commands must remain a one-key flip switch. But it's very likely that some compromises are possible (e.g. we already support some settings via environment variables). For the long term I'd like to implement a config file with macros and default settings per device. This would possibly fall better into it, so ideally we should think about such settings so that they fit well into this long-term model.
