any contact with peter wilson?
if anyone has had any contact with Peter Wilson in 2024 (or later, if this issue persists), please let me know (karl at freefriends dot org). I fear that he has passed away.
I don't think I've heard from him since 2022. I know he and his wife moved back to the UK at some point. I also know he lost his wife in early 2019. We also know from his TUG interview that he had 2 children which are presumable based in the UK.
The last emails I've sent to him haven't been answered.
I share the fear of him having passed away.
Hi Lars - thanks for the info. That's what I've found too.
I believe at least one child is in Toronto now (or was not long ago), but I've had no luck tracking down the names of either of his children. Whom I suspect are going to be the only source of reliable info at this point.
BTW, we asked two TUG members who lived in the same UK town as Peter (Kenilworth in Warwickshire) to check around for local information (non-online papers, etc.), and they both very graciously did, quite extensively, with no luck. They did not know Peter personally.

So most likely he has either passed away or has become completely incapacitated (some of his last messages warned about a growing dementia). But we don't want to write an obituary just on the assumption ...
