Keyboard shortcut is overriden by "Find on page" control

I've got this setting which should prevent ESC key from closing Quick Filter Toolbar (Main key bindings): "esc": "unset"

and this works fine until I press CTRL+F (which causes "Find on page" control to appear in the message pane) - at this point pressing ESC closes the toolbar. Edit: I'm using tbkeys-lite addon (v2.4.0).
