How to open WriteMonkey on Steam Deck

Hello,

I have recently gotten the Steam Deck & my laptop got jealous & conked out so for now this is my only Laptop. This means now for the first time ever I am a Linux (SteamOS) user.

For the life of me, I just can’t open WriteMonkey. I have tried double clicking on the nw file in the WriteMonkey folder but nothing happens. I have right clicked on WriteMonkey & clicked open in console & typed in the whole path of nw but nothing happens. I have typed in the “./nw” & nothing happens.

I admit I am a noob at Linux so apologies if I waste someone’s time with mundane questions.

Could someone pls guide Numpty me step by step?
