new feature : reference inside the same doc

Hello,

I'm writing a technical book and I feel that a feature was missing for me : dynamic references inside the doc. For exemple, if I want to add a reference to an existing chapter, I've no chapter number available, no page number neither to refer with. Could it be possible to add a tag somewhere and further refer to this tag ? Pandoc is ale to do it, with almost the same syntax that the footnotes.

I could be a geat addon. Best regards Olivier
