WM3 Blew Up and lost files
WM3 Beta 8; Windows 10
I copied this code from a web site to the repository with no problem
<iframe width="660" height="371" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/B6jDW36a3ps" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Then I copied from the repository into my document and hit F5. WM3 lost its mind. The cursor began flickering between an arrow and a hand for a long time and when it stopped, WM was frozen. I hit control-Q and after a minute or so it quit. When I restarted it, WM3 claimed several files had changed outside the program and would be "updated" which ended up meaning deleted - without confirmation. I lost two files. Completely. I found the last database backup was 2 days old which didn't help and brings up another question. Why didn't the database update automatically as often as I told it to - which is every hour? I know the settings file says after it's been minimized, but I've tried minimizing it and it still doesn't do the backup. Why make the user minimize the program to get a backup in the first place? It seems better to just do the backup when the time elapses.
Anyway, perhaps if some html kills the program you could protect from that?
This was a big setback.
I can't recreate this following your procedure with the iframe. Lost texts may be available via Show restore points. Did you try this? It sounds very serious though. Can you recreate this again or was it one time only? i.
I'll have to wait until I have some time to back everything up and try it again.
