Distraction-free mode resets font size, column width

Open ajsteele opened this issue 6 years ago • 2 comments

Pressing shift-esc to either enter or leave distraction-free mode resets the font size and column width for the main text. This behaviour is not reproduced if I just press esc to go fullscreen.

(I was also wondering, incidentally, why F11 isn't the fullscreen command, as is more common in other applications.)

Ok in the Aug 2019 beta this bug still exists in the form of some unexpected behavior, so let me try to explain what happens as I see it: if you shift-esc into distraction-free mode, and then zoom in and select lock zoom from the command palette, the zoom will reset back to default when you shift-esc back to windowed mode. if you lock the zoom while in windowed mode, then it seems to work -- the zoom stays at the locked level even when you shift-esc between the two modes. But this does seem like a bug in that I had to figure out that lock zoom didn't work in distraction-free mode.

There are 2 defaults - one for full screen distraction free and one for normal (windowed) mode. Using lock command in distraction free mode sets font size for that mode only. To set both, you must use lock command twice, once in each mode. i.
