Make unavailable listings better visible in backend

Some users ask for a different badge on sold/rented listings instead of having the same Sale/Rent badge and the small notice that the item is not available. Since the "offer" can be extended with custom offer types it might be a good solution to simply display the availability below the badge? And maybe "fadeout" the badge a little bit if not available?
