Feature Request: Zapier Integration
It would be awesome to have a Zapier integration for s2Member. That would open the door to all sorts of connections between apps.

This would be AMAZING! Any idea if this is something that could be implemented pre-Christmas Jason? I'm desperate to integrate S2 with Convert Kit - it's so much more effective than Mailchimp and Aweber etc.

That is not likely I'm afraid. However, if you're in a crunch you should be able to integrate a variety of services using the API Notifications in s2Member. Might require a custom script to bring it all the way home, but it's a short-term workaround that might help.

@jaswsinc Totally understand how busy you are Jason and I SO appreciate what you already do to keep S2 supported so well.
Right, I'd love to have a programmer develop me an S2 extension for Convert Kit.
I'll pay for it to be built and am happy to donate it to you guys as I think CK is going to become a big player in email marketing in the next year.
With that in mind, do you have any dev in mind who knows S2 really well, who we can be sure would code to a great standard?
If not, I'll source one - I'd just rather pay someone who you guys know does quality work and knows S2's API already perhaps.

I'm trying to integrate s2Member with ConvertKit, and can't do it because it's not internally connected like MailChimp or aWeber. ConvertKit works with zapier or IFTTT channels, but I don't think S2Member does.
With that in mind, do you have any dev in mind who knows S2 really well, who we can be sure would code to a great standard?

Can you define "A great standard"? I do PHP OOP stuff like Laravel, so you caught my attention.

Thanks @jaswsinc - I got in touch with Michael at Buddyboss but they are fully booked with work for the foreseeable.
I am SO keen to get S2 integrated with Convertkit, but feel a Zapier integration for S2 would be far more flexible in the long term, so rather than spend cash on just a Convertkit integration, I'd rather spend more cash on a Zapier integration.
Have you any idea how long a Zapier integration might take?
We need API calls to be made to Zapier upon a user signup at various S2 levels, an S2 level change and account deletion I guess.
I'm sure as a community, many of us would chip in to cover this cost. It would also open up S2 to so many new users as I'm not aware of any other membership plugin offering Zapier integration.
Let me know if it's on your roadmap, whether you would be happy to be paid to expedite the integration or whether you would prefer the community to get a 3rd party to integrate it - and if that happened, what the chances of it going into core eventually would be.
Hope you're having an awesome Christmas and here's to S2 going from strength to strength in 2016!

@GhostMech - by all means, let us know if you think this is something you could handle too. I'm open to all options. I need to make this happen soon.
I would love to see development of an integration between S2 and zapier. Ultimately I'd like the integration to be with ActiveCampaign, but I can see that being more niche and longer term. I would be happy for either of these to be a paid extension.
To to drop back in here guys. Sorry I haven't been in touch with those who offered to code an integration for me - I actually found a developer who already has an S2/ ConvertKit integration fully worked out.
It works brilliantly. I just have one question about webhooks @jaswsinc - I'm going to create a new topic for it though. If anyone wants details on the dev for CK, just shout up.
...and for those of us interested in s2/ConvertKit, will this brilliant integration be available anytime soon?

@GhostMech no because it's not a part of s2Member but a webhook I built and it's not prepared to be open sourced
FWIW, I have a DIY partial solution that will keep s2Member membership levels synced with corresponding tags in ConvertKit. It builds upon an integration that was created for WooCommerce, and therefore requires WooCommerce (which many membership sites already have), and a WooCommerce+ConvertKit plugin. It also requires URLs to be configured in s2Member's API Notification panels, and some automation rules at ConvertKit.
It is, essentially, a simple "Notification Handler" and a recipe for putting it together.

Adding my vote for a ConvertKit plugin. I have a small base now, but am seriously considering switching to ConvertKit before I launch my first product. It would be immensely helpful to have an S2member plugin. I have a hard time with all the multiple details and nuances required for figuring out processes and managing customer information. ConvertKit seems like an impressive solution to some of these challenges on the email side of things, as well as being a better solution for some of the additional challenges I've faced in using MailChimp more multiple interests.

Note to self: When work on this begins soon, a lot of what we would write into our plugins, I imagine as being easier to accomplish using the WP REST API; i.e., adding WP REST compatibility is probably a better route to take. Then Zapier can integrate with that.

I found that you can do a native connection between S2 and ConvertKit. See here http://www.correctcadence.com/2016/12/14/integrating-s2member-convertkit/. This isn't a Zapier integration but may help with your ConvertKit connection.
Has there been any progress in adding S2 to Zapier? We would love to use S2 across more sites and the Zapier interface is already so user friendly to build connections to Mailchimp etc. Please let us know if this is on the roadmap for 2017? I was also getting a quote on getting my own zapier API built for S2 if that is possible. If youre a developer who is interested in building it, please contact me and I can send you the requirements. OR if you would like to help me subsidize the cost of building this as a fellow s2 user, please get in touch.

@raamdev can you please let us know the status of this. Seems like so many people are asking and can benefit. As I mentioned, I have also looked for developers to get this developed on my own since I have so many clients whose member sites can benefit. Is this a project I can somehow undertake (custom dev) with websharks?
I do not have an update regarding this issue at this time. If you'd like to develop a custom Zapier integration, you're more than welcome to. That's one of the reasons s2Member is open-source. WebSharks itself does not do any custom development work.
