JVZoo integration
We talked about it a while ago and forgot to create an issue for it.
@jaswsinc looked at the API some weeks ago and remarked how similar it is to ClickBank's, and that we may be able to clone the CB integration to use it for JVZoo with little work. http://support.jvzoo.com/Knowledgebase/Article/View/17/0/jvzipn
JVZoo has been very requested over the years, and there's a way to integrate using PayPal's IPN with proxy key, but it's limited (e.g. only works for new signups).
 Yes, I agree this could be a nice fit with s2Member Pro.
Referencing this course which covers JVZoo http://marketingnate.com/ms-how-to-build-a-membership-site
While I was working to integrate ClickBank's IPN v6, it came to my attention that ClickBank's IPN server in v6, now supports JV_
sales, it would appear. It's something we could take a closer look at. https://support.clickbank.com/entries/22803622-Instant-Notification-Service
I've just been engaged in an email exchange with Jason reference this and, nowadays, JVZoo is a very successful site which a lot of Internet Marketers use. As such, I think it would be worthwhile to work with JVZoo to sort out the integration: if it's easy to setup and do, then it'll make S2Member a far more attractive proposition to those thinking of using it, or looking for a membership site in the first place.
They have it of a sorts, but it's limited to just a few fields (but no ccaps - see attached).
Personally, I thing ccaps is one of the beauties of S2Member as you don't have to worry about levels at all; and, when I saw the integration feature with JVZoo, it was kinda exciting. However, after searching on JVZoo and S2Member, and trawling the search engines, nothing further was found.
I've also contacted them reference the ccap functionality (within the last 24-36 hours), but haven't received a response as yet.
The marketingnate course you link to (above) has a long list of comments saying the method outlined in that guy's training doesn't work, so I'm loathe to spend money and waste further time down that road.
I [hope I] can sort out my membership site integration via levels with JVZoo, but if I can't then, at the moment, I'm screwed.
Thanks,
Russ
JVZoo would be a HUGE asset to S2. We have been doing a survey of membership plugins for our users/readers. When we surveyed the 46,000+ on our list, 71.3% listed JVZoo integration as one of their top 10 criteria for choosing a membership plugin.
It is for us as well. We found several plugins that Do have it, so it IS possible. :-)

This would be VERY useful indeed. JVZoo is becoming more and more important so if it can be done by yesterday (I don't want to rush you ;) ) that would be nice.
We REALLY need the jvzoo integration. Any status?
And the course you mentioned above: http://marketingnate.com/ms-how-to-build-a-membership-site
No longer exists. That domain resolves to a different domain

It is so simple actually. JVZoo gives you the opportunity to integrate JVZ with s2member (even the basic version).
Once you have a product on JVZoo you can see that in the seller dashboard.
Click on it and you see the name of the product on the page with the data of the buyers below it.
in the right column you find external program integration. take a look at method 4, S2member integration:
Follow the instructions from there how to adjust s2member to receive the data you need.
In this image you see the proxy-gateway placeholder you need to adjust following the JVZoo instructions.
Copy paste the URL from S2member in the text box below the instructions.
next step for me is to work out how Warrior plus integrates with s2member.
yes - and no. :-)
We are still playing with this, but so far, it only works on NEW members joining - not upgrades of any kind. If a user exists as a member of your site already - such as a free member, and wants to "purchase" a paid level via a jvzoo button, it fails. And custom capabilities are best for selling access to a single product (something not part of the membership) but the JVzoo interface doesn't handle that. But at least you can use this for some purposes. :-)
As DPS says, upgrading is problematic. For my site(s), I have had to tell users I'll change their account manually and email them when it's done, which is kinda crazy, but the only alternative is to not use JVZoo (? or switch to Stripe, Clickbank, etc.). I have a lot of content in there and changing to another software isn't a viable option at present.
My post here today - I last commented over a year ago - is because I've just tried to configure and test configuring multiple sites through a single Paypal IPN (which S2M can apparently do with supported payments gateways, such as Stripe) - it failed. S2M don't support the S2M/JVZoo integration so that's the end of it.
The alternative now, for me with this site, is to setup a new Paypal account and do it that way, which I will because I don't have the time at the moment to learn a new membership software and rebuild the site; but, unless the JVZoo integration gets sorted and supported - which is extremely unlikely from this thread's progress - it'll be the last time I use S2M for my sites.
It's a shame because I really like the way it works, and have spent a lot of time with trial-and-error and playing about with it over the last 4 years and all (and recommended it to others, quite recently in fact).
Such is life.
Updates? Progress?
I have S2M Pro and have just added it to a site which uses JVZoo and I want to add more memberships using ccaps.
Is there EVER going to be an S2/JVZoo integration, or is S2 Member going to become a backwater membership plugin?
I REALLY hope not.
Alex, The last spate of emails I had with S2M (pre-Xmas last year) was that it still wasn't on the cards; as such, and not willing to spend anymore time on it, I've cut my losses and moved over to WishList Member. That works with JVZoo 100%.
We got NO response to our questions about it. ALL of our clients want or use JVZoo, so we are going to have to tell them all to cancel or NOT purchase the s2 Pro. It is only a couple dozen sites, but will be a significant pain in the are for us!

I messaged both Jason (lead dev S2M) and Brian Zimmerman (JVZoo) about this well over a year ago: Jason said talk to JVZoo, Brian said talk to S2M :D.
Brian did elaborate and said that their revenue via S2M was a lot less than 1% so, in terms of investment of time and resources to make it happen, it wasn't even on their cards; I can't recall what Jason said.
Anyway, I know of at least 2 people who purchased S2M Pro in the last 2 months of 2015 because of my recommendation; as I mentioned in my post yesterday, I've now switched to WLM, so won't be doing that again. I'm also unsubscribing from this thread. Adios.
I too messaged Jason about the issue a few days ago - the crux of his reply was "...there is (currently) no formal integration between the two at this time and I am not going to introduce a timeline for that..."
Which gives the distinct impression that it ain't happening any time soon.
As we are not about to stop using JVZoo - it is free to use (as a seller) and with their several million members and affiliates in their system that can "see" your product in their marketplace (also free) - or get a notice about it - and then promote your product/site for you, it is just too valuable a tool for making money.
I really expected more from the s2 guys. Live and learn. :-)

Does S2Member work with JvZoo + Stripe?
