Wpscan fail. Abort scan

When I try to enter this command: wpscan --url http://xxx.xxx.xx.xxx/secret/ --enumerate u

Scan Aborted: Unable to get https://data.wpscan.org/metadata.json.sha512 (Couldn't resolve host name)

Any suggesting that would help with this issue

bump, as I am having the same issue. Running through proxychains and do not get an option to NOT update the database

This seems like it may have been a DNS or caching issue. Is this still a problem for you?
