Is is possible to intercept `markSeen`? Chats I open in the web client should not be marked as read/seen in other clients

As described in the title - Chats I open in the web client should not be marked as read/seen in other clients.

I would like to prevent WhatsApp web from sending the seen or read event. Read can be disabled in WhatsApp, but how do I override seen?
