My original workaround of setting set the src = '' before changing to another source no longer works.

Firefox Desktop and Mobile - Settings Menu not showing / correctly - Default Settings

Interestingly I don't see the same issue described when viewing in Firefox on Mac. I just updated to the very latest versions also, and still see no issue.
