Conflict with Contact Form 7

The Password-Protected plugin causes Contact Form 7 not to work in Chrome and Explorer/Edge. Forms do not submit, just the eternal 'thinking' spinning arrows. Disabling Password-Protected solved the issue. Unfortunately now I can't use Password-Protected.

Is this still an issue in version 2.2.3?

If so, does it then working if you enable "Allow REST API Access" in the Password Protected settings?
