I tried but didn't get it to work, maybe because of using HTML Entity "

Ah, yes... for the example from https://developer.wordpress.org/reference/functions/wptexturize/:

  • render | entity names | entity numbers
  • "holiday" | "holiday" | "holiday"
  • “holiday” | “holiday” | “holiday”

The advantage of using an entity name, instead of a number, is that the name is easier to remember. The disadvantage is that browsers may not support all entity names, but the support for numbers is good.
