Webp: add compatibility with WooCommerce’s galleries

  • The small thumbnails under the gallery are generated with JavaScript, their URL are stored in custom attributes ("data-thumb") on
    elements.
  • The main images also use a custom attribute ("data-large_image") to store the zoomed image URL.

Any news on this issue? What about product featured images?

So webp doesn't work on the single product page. Main image and gallery thumbnails are not compatible with Imagify webp feature.

Please make it happen. WooCommerce has a filter to override the main image html with woocommerce_single_product_image_thumbnail_html.
