command to delete only unattached images.

Just to make sure I understand correctly. Are you talking about: a.) deleting media files from the filesystem where there is no corresponding post of type attachment that has this file as its _wp_attached_file in the post meta table; or b.) deleting posts of type attachment that have no parent (so are not attached to another post)?
