Feature: Handle production systems

Open kegesch opened this issue 4 years ago • 3 comments

First of all, thanks for this tool! It really simplifies to setup a development network for hyperledger. Do you have any planned features for hurley to help with production systems? At the moment it is also quite hard to setup a production system. Do you think that hurley will help to do this in the future or are development systems the only scope?

I actually have a feature in the oven, that allows you to start/stop the containers without loosing the data. And this feature is product of a development I had to make for a project.

To answer your question, I don't have a formal list of features to add, but I'm definitely interested on adding more features that might allow production set ups at some point. My limited time and the lack of contributors makes it hard to advance faster, but if you're interested on spending some time, let me know ;)

This is nice to hear. We are currently evaluating whether to use Hyperledger Fabric or not. If we end up using it I could imagine to contribute :)

I need to stop and start the network without losing the data so basically I need to add volumes to docker file. how can I do that or any other solution to achieve the same results
