Windows 10 "check for update" throws errors

I am author of learnyoubash and I've got the report about bug with updating on Windows: https://github.com/denysdovhan/learnyoubash/issues/5

I'm almost completely sure that the problem with this package.

I researched a little: https://github.com/npm/npm-www/commit/98de54b2530e8571fc76a840101d7c897d6e6ba8#diff-3b18245eb47b3ad8aad6a8be142b9ceaR21 seems to point into a fix for this on windows. PR Welcome.
