Gallery and Audio block caption fields have a persistent focus

Open geriux opened this issue 2 years ago • 2 comments

Feedback from @dcalhoun testing:

The Gallery block keeps the caption focus in certain scenarios:

  1. Add a Gallery block.
  2. Add a few images.
  3. Tap the floating “navigate up” button.
  4. Note the caption field is not focused.
  5. Tap the caption field.
  6. Tap an individual image.
  7. Tap the floating “navigate up” button.
  8. Note the caption field is focused.

This focus regain actually persists across Gallery blocks. If you select a completely different block, the caption will continue to regains focus whenever you return to selecting the Gallery and navigate up. It’s as if the focus state of the caption input is cached somewhere.

This is happening in the current production app so it is not a regression from the recent design updates. Let's have this issue to work on it later on.

Updated this issue to include the Audio block as it occurs there too. It puts the Audio block into a state where one cannot change the media file attached to the block, as one cannot blur the captain field to select the parent block itself.
