Impossible to connect social accounts with some WP.com sites
On certain websites, particularly a testing site on the free plan created on WP.com, an attempt to connect a social account results in a webview displaying the message, "You need to be logged in to WordPress.com to complete this action." However, authentication cannot be completed through the webview.

Is the account's email verified? If not, then the root cause is reported in the wpcom repo issue 178047.
That is usually because the nonce values are incorrect. I'm not familiar with how the mobile app works but at the point of trying to connect to a service we make a request to get the connection URL
That URL is unique to the blog and user, so if you swap blog in the app and try to connect with the previously retrieved connect URL, you will receive this error, or if it's cached for too long, then the nonce value will no longer be valid.
Is there a simple way to debug this locally? Perhaps we could get together on it.
