iOS App Appends “-1” to Image Titles on Upload

Open alinclamba opened this issue 1 year ago • 5 comments

Expected behavior

The image title should reflect the original filename without any additional suffixes, matching the behavior observed when images are uploaded through the web browser.

Actual behavior

When users upload images using the Jetpack iOS app, the filename and image title automatically have a "-1" appended to them. This suffix is not added when uploading through the browser.

Steps to reproduce the behavior

  1. Using the Jetpack iOS app, upload any image.
  2. After the upload is complete, check the image title within the app.
  3. Notice that the title now contains a "-1" at the end, which was not part of the original file name.
Tested on [device], iOS [version], Jetpack iOS / WordPress iOS [version]

Has this been fixed. It doesn't do it on the desktop side.
