Identify WP sites even when xmlrpc.php and RSD are missing

Would be cool if a WP site could be identified even if the discovery fails to reach to the xmlrpc.php file location (usual locations, RSD pointed one or RSD missing). The client (say wpandroid) could then inform the user of the situation and suggest more accurate follow up actions.
