Reader - tapping Follow from the post dropdown menu does not update site headers Follow button
Expected behavior
In a Reader, when you click the Follow button in the post's dropdown menu, the Follow button in the site header at the top of the Reader list should update too.
Actual behavior
Now, this is not always the case. Sometimes it works as expected. Sometimes the header updates, but clicking on it still produces an error (unable to unfollow the blog).
Tested on Pixel on 8.1.1 and Genymotion Nexus 6p on 7.0.0
@khaykov I'm not able to reproduce this. When I follow a Discover post, the header always correctly updates. Is this still happening?
@nbradbury it does! Not always on the first try, but after toggling Follow button in overflow menu and header couple of times it starts to break down, and app restart is not helping.
Steps that I use to repo it 100% of the time:
- Follow Discover
- Uninstall app
- Install app
- Unfollow Discover from the overflow menu
- Notice header's Follow button is not updated
Hmm, I wonder if it's related to #7704. I'll tackle that one and then we'll see if the problem persists.

This is still an issue. The steps I took to reproduce this are:
- Follow Discover
- Kill the app
- Unfollow Discover from the overflow menu
- Notice header's Follow button is not updated
I can still reproduce the issue with version 24.2 of the Jetpack app.
