Jetpack Stats: incorrect date navigation and view more loading issues
Expected behavior
When navigating between stats for different pages or posts with the "Days" filter selected, the app should accurately display the selected date without reverting to earlier dates. The "View more" option should also load the complete list of stats reliably.
Actual behavior
- When tapping stats for different pages or posts:
- The current date starts to jump backwards after each selection (e.g., from Oct 30 to Oct 29, then Oct 20, etc.).
- Eventually, the current date gets "stuck" on an earlier date and cannot return to the correct day.
- The "View more" option:
- Often results in a blank screen.
- Occasionally displays a loading animation but never resolves.
- Requires restarting the app or waiting a few minutes before retrying.
- Home page stats:
- Show only older years (e.g., 2021, 2020) rather than recent stats (e.g., 2023, 2024).
Steps to reproduce the behavior
- Open the Jetpack app and tap on Stats.
- Tap on any page or post to view stats for the last 14 days.
- Repeat the process with a different page or post.
- Observe how the selected date shifts backwards with each new page/post.
- Tap on "View more" at the bottom of the stats list.
- Check if the stats list loads or shows a blank/loading screen.
- Navigate to the Home page stats and observe if the displayed years include recent data.

- The issue with the "Years" filter is being fixed in PR #21450.
- The problem described here pertains specifically to the "Days" filter and navigation between individual pages/posts. The "View more" loading issue and outdated home page stats also require separate investigation.
