Unable to connect an existing domain name

Open jp-imagines opened this issue 1 year ago • 1 comments

Expected behavior

Support documentation at https://apps.wordpress.com/support/mobile/domains/how-can-i-change-my-site-address-or-domain/ states that you should be able to navigate to My Site > More > Domains > Add Domain and "follow the prompts to connect your existing domain."

Actual behavior

There is no prompt to connect an existing domain. Clicking "Add a domain" leads to the "register a domain" page. Clicking "All Domains" instead and then the + button has an option to transfer a domain, but not connect.

Steps to reproduce the behavior

  1. Navigate to My Site > More > Domains.
  2. Click "Add a domain" or "ALL" (at the top-right).
  3. For "Add a domain": see that the page is labeled Register Domain and there is no option to connect an existing domain, even after searching for an existing domain.
  4. For "ALL": click the + button at the top-right, and again see that there's no option to connect an existing domain name.
Tested on Pixel 9, Android 14, JPAndroid v25.2.1 (1444)
