WPAndroid Crashed When Trying to Upload Photos

A user reported that they can't upload photos in the editor.

When I click on select files, it does nothing.

It used to open and load the file. Now it crashes

I found a Sentry report with the following error:

IllegalStateException: already recycled once

@thabotswana can you tell us more about any troubleshooting you've already carried out with the user? For instance, could this be related to memory or internet connection? Any steps to reproduce, or more context about what the user was doing when the crash happened, would be appreciated. It would also be good to know whether other users are experiencing this issue.

@thehenrybyrd we have asked them to confirm the following:

• How much space they have free on their device
• Try using a different network
• Turn off their device then restart it

They responded with this

It still doesn't work. I used 5g mobile internet, logged out and nothing

This is what the user describes when uploading photos in the editor:
